Colors of Emerald Rings
Emeralds are famous for their deep green color. Naturally occuring emeralds come in a range from green-yellow to green-blue but only the deep green stones are considered emeralds.
Regional Emeralds
Columbian
Columbian emerald rings are of high quality, and sometimes can have a slight bluish green color to them. These emeralds are famous for their deep green color, however.
Zambian
Zambian emerald rings have a greater blue hue than Columbian, typically. The emeralds have great clarity, and although cheaper than Columbian emeralds, Zambian emeralds are also popular for mounting on emerald rings.
Brazilian
Brazilian emerald rings are a softer green than the intensely green Columbian emerald rings. Brazil also produces very rare emeralds including the six spoke star and cat's eye.
